Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, A…. That’s right. Contra, one of the most popular computer game from the 80′s and 90′s will soon be available for iOS devices.
For the too young and unacquainted, Contra is a very popular Konami side-scrolling classic where you control Rambo-like characters and blast your way out of an Alien-infested island.
Developer CocoaChina/Chukong managed to acquire the license for Contra and made a “complete mobile reincarnation” of the game which will be called Contra Evolution. Take a look at the sample gameplay below:
Contra Evolution is priced at 99 cents for the iPhone and $2.99 for the iPad and will arrive in the US App Store on June 27.
