After we posted the Cherry Mobile’s latest teaser about their upcoming 7.7mm thin Android handset, some of our readers were quick to tip us on what the local company has in store for us.
Our readers pointed us to a handset that goes by the name of Blade (or Razor Blade), which CM announced last month in Thailand. After a bit of research, we’ve zeroed-in on the alleged handset and based from what we saw, it seems that this is the real deal.
The CM Blade sports a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display which is accompanied by a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and the familiar trio of capacitive buttons. Other components of this Jellybean handset includes a a 5MP rear camera with flash, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, expandable 4GB ROM and a rather small battery rated at 1,700mAh. There’s no official word yet when Cherry Mobile plans to make this handset available in the local market, but it’s been said that the Blade currently retails for THB6,999 or a little over Php9,600 in our local currency. With that said, do you guys think that it’s priced right?
