Global brand Chevrolet and One World Futbol Project Deliver Their 1 Millionth Football

Chevrolet, in partnership with One World Futbol Project and in an effort to demonstrate all things are possible through play, has reached an epic milestone with the delivery of the 1 millionth One World Futbol donated by the brand.

The 1 millionth One World Futbol was among those balls presented Saturday to the Mabu-a-tlou girls’ primary school in Hammanskraal, South Africa. The delivery took place during the unveiling of the Mabu-a-tlou Lebala La Metshameko (“Mabu-a-tlou Playground”), which Chevrolet revitalized to enable greater participation in football for the Hammanskraal Girls Soccer program and surrounding community.

“For Chevrolet, it’s not just about what the One World Futbol is, but what the ball enables us to do,” said Tim Mahoney, chief marketing officer, Global Chevrolet. “The donation of the 1 millionth ball is a tremendous milestone in our effort to help children everywhere realize that through play all things are possible.”

Chevrolet executives were joined in South Africa by One World Futbol Project Founders Tim Jahnigen and Lisa Tarver, Manchester United legend Gary Bailey, local dignitaries and schoolchildren to celebrate delivery of the 1 millionth One World Futbol.

Through One World Futbol Project, these balls are distributed to programs and schools in war-stricken zones, refugee camps, disaster areas and other disadvantaged communities worldwide, working with a broad network of organizations that use sport and play to teach conflict resolution, gender equality, health awareness and other essential life skills.

Manchester United to Wear New Chevrolet-Branded Shirt for the First Time Against L.A. Galaxy

Manchester United will wear its new Chevrolet-branded shirt for the first time during the club’s Chevrolet Cup match against the L.A. Galaxy on Wednesday (July 23) PT at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. To celebrate, Chevrolet today announced it will offer a free livestream of the match to fans around the world at www.ChevroletFC.com.

“Seeing our partnership with Manchester United come to life in a match is a proud moment for the brand and we want to share it with the club’s 659 million followers around the world,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “The free livestream is just one example of how Chevrolet will utilize this partnership and our ‘What Do You #PlayFor?’ campaign to bring fans closer to this great sport and help them celebrate the passion for play.”

The livestream and match begin at 10:30am Thursday (July 24) in Philippine time.

Chevrolet kicked off its seven-year shirt sponsorship with Manchester United on July 7 by inviting fans around the world to upload photos of themselves wearing a digital version of the new shirt at www.ChevroletFC.com, and share it via their social channels.Chevrolet also released a video on www.ChevroletFC.com featuring Manchester United players, legends and fans paying homage to the history of the club’s shirts. The video has been viewed more than 3 million times by Manchester United fans around the world.

In March, Chevrolet launched “What Do You #PlayFor?,” aglobal campaign to inspire football fans and make lasting impacts in places where play is needed. As part of this campaign, Chevrolet hosted a Manchester United Soccer School (MUSS) clinic July 20 at the StubHub! Center in Carson, Calif. The clinic included 32 children from Los Angeles-area youth soccer teams working with MUSS coaches on a variety of skills and techniques.

Chevrolet will continue to celebrate its debut on the new Manchester United shirt over the next month. On Aug. 2, Chevrolet will serve as thepresenting sponsor of Manchester United’s first ever match in Michigan, at the University of Michigan’s “Big House” in Ann Arbor vs. Real Madrid. The match is part of the 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup (ICC) and will be played in Michigan Stadium, the largest stadium in the United States.

Chevrolet also is planning a memorable moment for fans at Manchester United’s 2014-15 opening Premier League match on Aug. 16 at Old Trafford against Swansea City FC.

Qualifications and Entitlements

  • Promo is open to all Chevrolet buyers from May 10 to July 31, 2014.
  • Client must avail a PBCOM Auto Loan program that has a minimum financing amount of P200,000.00 and a maximum amount of P1,600,000.00.
  • Maximum vehicle selling price is P2,000,000.
  • Minimum Loan Term should be 36 months and Maximum Loan Term shall be 60 months.
  • All loan applications are subject to PBCOM’s approval.
  • All qualified PBCOM auto loans will be entitled to a FREE 1 Year Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) or up to 10,000 kms., whichever comes  first and 1 year/First Year Motorrcar Insurance with Acts of Nature Cover (excluding Comprehensive Third Party Liability) through any PBCOM’s accredited Motorcar Insurance provider.
  • All Chevrolet vehicles are included in the promo offer except for:
    • Chevrolet Camaro
    • Chevrolet Suburban
    • Chevrolet Tahoe
    • Chevrolet Traverse

Claiming Process

  • PBCOM promo approved Clients will be provided with a promo voucher as proof qualification to the promo and will be presented during claiming of free PMS.
  • The FREE Periodic Maintenance Service can only be availed in the Chevrolet Dealership where the unit was purchased.
  • Chevrolet recommends that the Client calls the dealership to schedule his desired date for Periodic Maintenance Service.
  • To avail the FREE Periodic Maintenance Service, Client must present the following:
    • Voucher for FREE Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS)
    • One (1) valid government-isssued ID with photo and signature
    • Unit Warranty Booklet
  • Should the owner of the vehicle decide to send a representative to claim the FREE PMS, representative should present the following:
    • Voucher for FREE Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS)
    • One (1) valid government-issued ID with photo and signature
    • One (1) valid government-issued ID with photo and signature of the owner of the vehicle
    • Authorization letter from the owner of the vehicle
    • Unit Warranty Booklet

 

Terms and Conditions

  • All auto financing applications are subject to PBCOM’s approval
  • Standard Auto Loan application, approval, and booking processes and policies shall apply
  • If Client pays his/her Auto Loan in full before 50% of the loan term, Client shall pay 50% of the cost of the FREE Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) and 50% of the cost of one (1) year/First year Motorcar Insurance with acts of nature cover.
  • In case of dispute, PBCOM Convenience Banking Segment Head’s decision shall be deemed final
