Canon just announced the world’s smallest and lightest dSLR and calls it the EOS Rebel SL1. The body alone weighs a mere 0.9lbs and measuring 4.6 x 3.6 x 2.7 inches.
The Rebel SL1 will probably be known as the EOS 100D when it arrives in the Philippines.

The Canon Rebel SL1 will retail for $650 (body only) or $800 with the new 18-55mm STM lens. Expected release date in the Philippines is April 2013.
