From the above results, more people preferred the photos taken by the Huawei P9 but liked the Zenfone Zoom when it comes to video recording. Indoors, the P9 gave off a brighter photo livelier colors. During low light instances, it also produced more details and less noise.

Camera Blind Test: Huawei P9 vs LG V10

We’re back with another Camera Blind Test where we battle out the imaging capabilities of smartphones and let you, our readers, vote for who you think captured the better shot in Auto Mode.

For this article we pit the Huawei P9 against the LG V10.

Before we get down with the sample shots, let’s first check out the hardware built into these phones.

f/1.8 aperture

Results: Sony Xperia Z5 vs. iPhone 6S Camera Blind Test

We got 13,166 vites in our last Camera Blind Test between the Sony Xperia Z5 and the iPhone 6S. Here are the results:

For reference, the Sony Xperia Z5 is A and the iPhone 6S is B. We summarize below the top choices in different scenarios.

Close-up Shot: In close-up shots taken booth indoor and outdoor, the Sony Xpria Z5 won over the iPhone 6S handily. The Xperia Z5 got around 2 out of 3 votes in both scenarios.

Typical outdoor in daylight: The iPhone 6S won over the Xperia Z5 for general outdoor shots with a very wide margin of 89% compared to jst the 11% of the Z5.

Dynamic Range: With high dynamic range, the Xperia Z5 took 9 out of 10 votes over the iPhone 6S.

Indoor Low Light Shot: For general indoor shots, the Xperia Z5 once again beat the iPhone 6S with 65% of the votes.

Night Shot: For night shots with very low light source, the Xperia Z5 won witha small margin of 57% compared to the 43% of the iPhone 6S.

Low-light with Flash: With using flash, the Xperia Z5 slightly edged over the iPhone 6S at 55%-45%.

Video Recording: The iPhone 6S won over the Xperia Z5 with 54% of the votes.

Over-all winner: Sony Xperia Z5

The iPhone 6S got some advantage in typical daylight scenarios and video recording in our blind test but the Xperia Z5 managed to take away points with close-up shots, indoor, low-light, dynamic range and flash photography.

The Xperia Z5 beats the iPhone 6S in 7% of the different scenarios we pitted them.

Results: iPhone 6S vs. Galaxy S6 Camera Blind Test

We received over 7,000 votes from over 1,000 voters in our last Camera Blind Test between the iPhone 6S and the Galaxy S6. Here are the results.

For reference, the Galaxy S6 is B and the iPhone 6S is A. We summarize below the top choices in different scenarios.

Close-up Shot: iPhone 6S wins over the Galaxy S6 by a very small margin of just 4%.

Typical outdoor in daylight: Galaxy S6 wins at 76% of the votes.

Dynamic Range: Galaxy S6 wins by a landslide 81% of the votes.

Indoor Low Light Shot: iPhone 6S wins slightly at 55% over the Galaxy S6 at 45%.

Night Shot: Galaxy S6 wins at 55% over the iPhone 6S at 45%.

Low-light with Flash: iPhone 6S wins slightly at 55% over the Galaxy S6 at 45%.

Video Recording: Galaxy S6 wins an overwhelming 82% of the votes.

Over-all winner: Samsung Galaxy S6

The Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6S are statistically tied when it comes to low-light performance with variance just hovering at 10% between the two.

Where the Galaxy S6 won by huge margins is with dynamic range and video recording. Check back the sample shots here.
