Korean electronics manufacturer LG and Taiwanese gadgets maker Asus both have announced their device lineups slated to receive the new Android Lollipop software. When and which devices will be up for the sweet upgrade? Find out after the break.
The Taiwanese electronics giant is slated to update its Zenfone devices sometime next year, an announcement from the maker’s Taiwanese forums had been made. All current Zenfones — the 4, 5, 5 LTE, and 6 — as well as the Padfone S will be upgraded to Android Lollipop in April 2015. Their new Padfone Infinity, on the other hand, will be receiving the update two months after.
Meanwhile, the Korean electronics giant has confirmed that its current flagship, the LG G3, will be receiving the update by the end of this year. This announcement comes from their German facebook page. An upgrade for the LG G2 will follow.
Translation: “Hi there, We would like to inform you herewith that there is an Android 5.0 upgrade for the LG Lollipop G3 will be released in the fourth quarter of 2014. The upgrade package for the LG G2 will follow. LG Sascha”
