Being a long time user of the Aspire S7 that has a full HD 1080p resolution, it’s exciting to know Acer has even bumped up that resolution during its recent refresh here at Computex.
By WQHD, that’s actually 2560×1440 pixels in total resolution for a 13.3-inch IPS display. That’s a pixel density of 221ppi (very close to the 227ppi of Macbook Pro Retina). At that resolution, the S7′s display is just stunning and the picture is very crisp. Of course, the icons on the desktop window has also shrunk.
The 13-inch Aspire S7 should get the refreshed hardware along with the new Intel Haswell chipset. The price should also be the same as the original S7. No changes were made on the 11-inch model though.
