In an announcement just now, Apple CEo Tim Cook has dropped the price of the Apple TV to just $69 (from $99).
Apple also claims they’ve sold over 25 million of these devices.
Along with the price drop, Apple has also announced HBO will now be available via Apple TV with HBO Now ready for streaming by April.
It’s $14.99 a month. And for a limited time, the first month is free if you sign up on your Apple TV, iPad, or iPhone.
This is the first time HBO will be available outside of cable or satellite. All of the HBO movies and TV series catalog will be available (Game of Thrones anyone?).
The Apple TV has been around for many years but the current iteration was introduced back in 2010 (read our review here).
The Apple TV used to sell for $99 or about Php4,500. The new price puts it at just a little over Php3,000.
