Along with the Aspire R7, Acer also announced a Windows 8 Ultrabook that also doubles as a tablet – the Aspire P3.

The Acer Aspire P3 has an 11.6-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366×768 which equates to a pixel density of 135ppi. Although not a full HD screen, Acer equipped it with an IPS panel so you could at least experience good viewing angles. Other specs include a 5 megapixel rear camera, 720p front-facing, Intel HD 4000 graphics, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-HDMI, and a USB 3.0 port.

Another notable feature here is the bundled keyboard shell that turns the tablet into a notebook. When integrated with the P3 it kinda reminds you a lot of the Surface Pro. The tablet alone weighs 790g, add another 600g for the keyboard and you’re looking at a 1.39kg device in total. Slightly heavier than the Surface Pro at 1.13kg (w/ Touch Cover).

Prices start at US$800 for the Core i3 model with 60GB SSD and 2GB of RAM. You can also opt for the Core i5, 4GB RAM and 120GB SSD variant which comes with a higher price tag.
