The official Universal Media Remote for PS4

Your PlayStation 4 is not only capable of playing quality games but it can also act as a media center for your digital contents. Although, the DualShock 4 controller is not that conducive in navigating menus within videos, so, Sony announces its own Universal Media Remote for the PS4.

ps4-remote1

The universal remote uses Bluetooth to control your PS4 because the console doesn’t have infrared. It has your common system menu buttons for media navigation plus the iconic triangle, circle, cross, and square or Action buttons. Since it is a universal remote, it can support additional devices (up to 3) like your TV and cable box.

It will be released this October in the U.S., Canada and Mexico for $29.99. We hope our local game stores will have this on their shelves soon.

National Geographic Bags officially lands in the Philippines

If you are a photography hobbyist or enthusiast, then you’ve probably seen these National Geographic bags for sometime now. National Geographic has been making a lot of these bags mostly for traveling folks who carry dSLR-class equipment. They’re basically inspired by professional Nat Geo photographers.

Have been using the Africa Medium Tote Bag since earlier this year during one of my trips abroad. It’s a simple one that can carry a dSLR (with a midi camera insert inside) or a big laptop with a couple of large side pockets. Could not remember exactly how much was this back then but it’s listed in Lazada today for Php5,250 {see listing here}.

I was actually glad to learn that just last week, National Geographic bags are officially available in the Philippines thru local distributor Mac Power (same distributor of Belkin, Boom Pods, Rhino Shield, etc).

They also sent us this NG Holster Camera Bag from the Walkabout Collection which is made to carry mirrorless cameras but we managed to fit our Canon 70D just fine. It has a couple of adjustable padding inside to secure the camera and an extra lens. The outer body is made of cotton coated with PU that makes it water-repellent. An outer pocket offers additional spaces for smaller accessories.

The NG Holster Camera Bag is available thru Lazada for Php3,050 {see listing here}.
