Microsoft spoils Win10 Anniversary Update release

Microsoft just gave out a good spoiler for everyone, as the Redmond giant’s much-anticipated anniversary update for the Windows 10 has been given an exact date through an unexpected ‘blog post’.

In a post published at Microsoft’s blog, the title reads “Microsoft announces Windows 10 anniversary update available Aug. 2”. This could be an accidental publishing of an upcoming announcement since the post does not bear any body to it. This may very well mean that the next big update may be a few days after its actual release birthday.

The Redmond giant has since taken down the article on their website, but the information has spread like wildfire and has been reported on various sources like the one we’re citing below.

As you may recall, the Windows 10 has been installed on over 300 million device and has been launched 11 months ago, which means that anyone on older operating systems may still upgrade for free until July 29.

Windows 10’s new Anniversary Update will feature improvements such as Windows Ink, Windows Hello for PCs, and a better Cortana experience.
