More rumors circulate in cyberspace in anticipation of Samsung’s next Note device, then comes this one: renowned mobile leaker Evan Blass confirms that the Korean tech conglomerate will skip 6 and will go on to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note7.
As reported last month, Samsung is looking into synchronizing the product lines to eliminate any inconsistency with an image that can occur as numbers of two products’ brands are different. This could very well mean that from this year on, the Note and the flagship Galaxy S series will bear the same number in each year of release.

Also confirmed through Blass is the inclusion of an optical iris scanner in the device. It definitely is not the first time we’ve seen that feature on a smartphone, but would be exciting to see since this would be the first Samsung device to bear one, in case these reports bear truth.
