Sony A6300 can shoot 4K in Super 35mm

Sony has unveiled its newest mirrorless camera and it’s a successor to the two-year-old A6000 — the A6300. And what’s new about this? Well, it shoots 4K in Super 35mm format.

The A6300 is equipped with a 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor and Bionz X image processor. It’s EVF is an XGA OLED Tru-Finder with 2.4 million dots w/ a 120fps mode for smooth tracking. There’s also a tilting LCD screen below it.

It has an ISO range of 100 to 51200 and can do 11fps of continuous shooting. There’s also 425 phase detection points and the 4D focus system which Sony claims to be the fastest AF at 0.05 seconds. As mentioned, it can do 4K in Super 35mm or capture at a fast 120fps in 1080p.

It also has an external microphone input, Wi-Fi, and NFC.

The Sony A6300 will go on sale in March 2016 for $1,000 or around Php48,000 for the body only. There’s a 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens packaged for $1,150.
