Toshiba announced a new device in Japan today featuring Windows 10 and pen-like capabilities.
The DynaPad is aimed for people who wanted to use the power of a modern stylus. It has the Wacom Active Electrostatics (ES) TruPen that has 2,048 levels of pressure for high-precision writing on the tablet’s 12-inch diagonal WUXGA+ (1920 × 1280 pixels) IPS display with anti-reflection and anti-fingerprint coating. It runs on 1.44GHz Intel Atom processor with 4GB of RAM, so performance may not be at best but the tablet only weighs 569g and is 6.6mm thin. Adding the keyboard dock will jump the weight to 996g and height to 14.9mm.
It will be available in the U.S. and Europe in Q1 next year with a pre-order already ongoing in Japan. There’s no exact pricing for the DynaPad yet.
