As is customary after announcing the hardware, Google officially outs the latest version of its mobile operating system Android 6.0 or more commonly known as Android Marshmallow.
While discussing some of the features of their new smartphones, Google touched upon some of the key features of the new mobile OS. This include a feature called Doze which extends the battery life of a device by minimizing the background processes when it detects that the phone is not being used for a period of time.
Unsurprisingly, the newly-launched Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel C will come pre-installed with Android Marshmallow out of the box.
As for the older Nexus smartphones and tablets, not to mention the Nexus Player, Google stated that it plans to roll out the new version of Android starting next week.
