Want to turn your bike into a mini generator that is powerful enough to charge your phone? If yes, then meet CydeKick by Spinetics Inc. – a small system that converts a cyclist’s motion into electricity for charging smartphones and other electronics.
CydeKick is an accessory system that you install on your bicycle. It uses electromagnetic induction to create power with the help of a magnetic disc attached to the wheel. The power generated is then conditioned (AC to DC) then stored internally or used to charge devices via USB like a smartphone, action cam, or GPS.
CydeKick Pro features:
• Add-On, Self-Powered, Bicycle Generator System
• USB Output for Charging Smartphones, Action Cams, GPS, etc.
• High-Intensity LED Headlight (Included)
• Stores Energy while You Ride but Can Also be Plugged in and Recharged at Home
• If You can Assemble Ikea Furniture You can Install the CydeKick Yourself.
• Expandable – Choose from Other Plug-n-Play Lighting Accessories & Electronics
CydeKick Mini features:
• Add-On, Self-Powered, Bicycle Generator System (Lighting Only)
• High-Intensity LED Headlight (Included)
• Battery-Free
• Extremely Easy to Install!
• Expandable – Choose from Other Plug-n-Play Lighting Accessories
Here’s the problem though, CydeKick was launched as a Kickstarter project back in July and ran until August but didn’t reach the $85,000 goal. However, Spinetics will launch another project soon so we’ll just have to wait and see what they will introduce next.
