One of the more objective ways to determine the performance of smartphones is by running them thru synthetic benchmarks. After going thru hundreds of handsets in the last couple of years and using Antutu as one of our primary tools, we thought of putting them down into a chart as basis for comparison with other handsets we will review in the future.
This chart is not yet final as we gather more test results form a few more handsets but, for the meantime, we’re posting it already as we add more data.
Smartphone | CPU | RAM | Antutu Score |
---|---|---|---|
Galaxy S6 Edge | Samsung Exynos 7420 64-bit 2.1Ghz octa-core | 3GB LPDDR4 | 67,755 |
Galaxy S6 Edge+ | Samsung Exynos 7420 64-bit 2.1Ghz octa-core | 4GB LPDDR4 | 67,403 |
Galaxy S6 | Samsung Exynos 7420 64-bit 2.1Ghz octa-core | 3GB LPDDR4 | 66,401 |
OnePlus 2 | Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 1.77GHz octa-core | 4GB LPDDR4 | 54,309 |
LG G Flex 2 | Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 2.0GHz octa-core | 2GB LPDDR4 | 51,696 |
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 | Samsung Exynos 5433 1.9GHz quad-core | 3GB LPDDR3 | 49,250 |
Huawei P8 | HiSilicon Kirin 930 2.0 GHz octa-core | 3GB LPDDR3 | 49,042 |
LG G4 | Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 1.8GHz hexa-core | 3GB LPDDR4 | 48,903 |
Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus | Mediatek MT6595M 2.0GHz octa-core | 3GB LPDDR3 | 47,614 |
Motorola Moto X | Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz | 2GB LPDDR3 | 46,096 |
Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML | Intel Atom Z3580 2.3GHz quad-core | 4GB LPDDR3 | 45,029 |
Note: We have not have time to gain access or run the same benchmarks on a few more handsets we think should also be included in this chart. These are the Galaxy Note Edge, HTC One M9, Huawei P8 Max, Nexus 6, Galaxy Note 5, Moto X Pure Edition, and ZTE Axon Pro.
Locally branded smartphones like the Starmobile Knight X should also be included in the list once we get an updated benchmark score.
The scores posted above are based on our own actual tests, taking out multiple runs and logging the highest scores for each unit. Some of them have been re-tested after their software updates.
