Although Microsoft remains mum about the exact date of the consumer release of Windows 10, it’s certain that it’ll be released in the summer season. In the meantime, the software giant revealed the system requirements needed to run their upcoming operating system.
Without going through each of the components required to run Win10, basically if your system was able to run Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, then you should be able to upgrade to the new OS. Now for those of you who want the whole rundown, here’s the minimum system requirement for Windows 10:
The consumer version of Windows 10 can be installed on devices with 8-inch display and up, anything smaller than that will run on Windows Mobile instead.
Speaking of which, Microsoft stated that devices with at least 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage will be able to run their new mobile operating system. The company adds that the device should have at least WVGA (800 x 480) screen resolution, regardless of the screen size but not bigger than 8-inch.
