New York-based Icon Q has made its way to the mobile competition with its first smartphone release. The Q5.5, as the name implies, is a 5.5-inch device with an octa-core cpu, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and 13MP rear camera — all for the price of $199. Read on for the full specs list after the jump.

One of the main selling points here is its freedom from carriers. The company on its site mentions, “Open your phone, travel the world. The Q5.5 is a smartphone designed to belong to you, not your carrier.” So wherever you go, your device could accommodate foreign SIM cards.
It is available internationally for $199 or around Php8.9K when directly converted.
