Also announced during the MWC, HTC teamed up with Under Armour, an American Sports clothing and accessories company, as it unveiled its water-resistant fitness tracker called the Grip.
Aimed for serious athletes and fitness buffs, the HTC Grip is a fitness tracker designed to comfortably support even the most extreme training regimes. Built with five precision sensors onboard, the Grip also has a multi-sport mode that allows you to track different types of activities. It also has an auto sleep detection that helps record the total amount of time spent asleep.
A 1.8-inch PMOLED display is also present to help you track your statistics and remotely control your music. The HTC Grip is touted to last for up to 2.5 days on a single charge, and can be connected to any Android or iOS smartphone. It is also water-resistant, rated at IP57, and is immersible in up to 1m of water for up to 30 minutes.
The HTC Grip will be available in Deep Teal/Lime color at select retailers in North America beginning Q2. Price has no been disclosed, and we’ll update once we get more info.
