Along with the Forge TV and its wireless companions, Razer also unveiled a cheaper version of its wearable dubbed as the Razer Nabu X.

Razer Nabu X

The significant difference between the Nabu and the Nabu X’s price is, in large measure, due to the absence of an OLED display found on the former. As a substitute, Razer has equipped the latter with three RGB LED lights which can be customized to assign apps to it and what color it flashes when a notification comes in.

Lack of display aside, the Nabu X still has a lot to offer for fitness buffs and technology enthusiasts alike. Similar to its fitness band contemporaries, the Nabu X is also water-resistant up to a meter and has the ability to track your activity which includes sleeping habits, steps walked, distance travelled and calories burnt.

Razer’s new fitness band can also be set to automatically go in to Sleep Mode, a feature/option that is lacking on similar devices like the Jawbone Move. Moreover, the Nabu X is imbued with the company’s proprietary Pulse technology which allows it to communicate with other Nabu bands in a specified proximity. This feature can be used for seamless information transfer like activity and contact information on Twitter, Facebook and WeChat.

The new Razer Nabu X will originally be retailed for USD49.99, but “Razer Insiders” can already place an order starting on January 13 and will be up for grabs for twenty bucks.
