Google I/O tackled a lot of things this year, all mostly composed of Android, be it in your pocket, your bag, your wrist, your living room or even your car. With all of our coverage from last night, we took the pleasure of compiling all the relevant details from the huge event for everyone right here.
- Android One: stock Android & software updates for developing markets
- Android L previewed: major redesign, better performance
- Android Wear gets more details, adds Samsung to the list
- Google I/O 2014: Android Auto
- Chromecast doing good, gets Backdrop & mirroring
- Chrome OS will now work better with Android
- Google I/O 2014: Android TV
- Samsung Gear Live now up for pre-order, priced at $200
- LG G Watch complete specs and price
Apart from those, Google has also covered updates to documents, corporate software, fitness and the cloud. Being a developers’ conference, they also did not leave out all the talk enticing devs to work on the platform.
Now, we noticed that a lot of these things will be made public in an event that will take place September onwards (US fall); Google says that’s when they’ll launch Android L, the Moto 360 and most likely all the things that they previewed today that aren’t ready for consumer use. We’re guessing there’s going to be another big Google event hiding in the ber months, as the search giant didn’t even tackle Glass, the long rumored Android Silver program, Project Ara, the Nexus line, their Nest division and a lot more.
