SamMobile got hold of a list of countries that will be receiving the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 3. And it looks like the SM-N9005 variant which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU is slated to arrive in the country.
As some of you are already aware, Samsung will be unveiling the Note 3 this September 4 during the Unpacked event in Berlin. Two models of the Note 3 will arrive: one bearing the SM-N900 model number which is powered by a Samsung Exynos 5420 (Octa-Core) CPU, ARM Mali-T628 MP6 GPU, and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM; the other one having the model number SM-N9005 and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) CPU, Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
Based on the list, the Philippines will “officially” receive the SM-N9005 variant which has support for LTE networks, and will be available through Globe, Smart and Sun as well. See image below.
Obviously, the Philippines is not listed to receive the octa-core variant but will be available in the following neighboring countries: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, to name a few.
Also included is a note from SamMobile’s source saying, “If your country gets both processor variants, it is a decision based on the marketing plan of Samsung. Which means if there are LTE networks in your country, Samsung will start with the LTE variant (Snapdragon 800) first.”
If you’re aware of the story behind the Samsung Galaxy S4 octa-core and quad-core variants, the same drill applies.
