Along with the ATIV 9 Plus, Samsung also introduced a more affordable ultrabook called the ATIV 9 Lite.
Instead of the aluminum alloy used in the ATIV 9 Plus, the ATIV 9 Lite is made mostly of polycarbonate materials.
What’s actually surprising is that the ATIV 9 Lite comes with a special quad-core processor. However, after looking deeper into the hardware, we’re pretty sure this is powered by an AMD A6-1450 1.0GHz quad-core processor (Turbo Frequency 1.4GHz). That’s because it was paired with an AMD Radeon HD 8250 integrated graphics.

The ATIV 9 Lite weighs about 1.44kg and 16.9mm thin. Samsung promises up to 8.5 hours battery life in a single full charge. It has an 8-second boot time and 2-second wake-up time. Comes in Marble White, Ash White and Wine Red colors.
No word on release date and retail price at the moment.
