An image of what is reported to be Sony’s upcoming phablet, the Xperia Z Ultra, has appeared online. Sporting a huge 6.44-inch 1080p display.
According to rumors, the Xperia Z Ultra will sport a 6.44-inch 1080p “Triluminos with X-Reality for Mobile” display, a 16GB internal storage with microSD support, an 8 megapixel rear camera, and a 2.2 megapixel front-facing.
Powering the device is a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, Adreno 330 graphics, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.2 Jellybean with Sony’s skin on top. All of that in a body that is just 6.5mm thin and weighs 212g.
Sony Mobile has already teased the phablet on a press invite released just recently, showing the device’s side profile and a stylus. The invite says “Sony Mobile reserves a big surprise for you”, followed by the date and time when the event is slated to take place: Thursday, July 4th at 9:30. Below it is a handwritten text that says “Do not forget to mark your calendars!”
Do note that there’s no confirmation yet on the mentioned specs. We’ll just have to wait until everything becomes official when the Z Ultra launches next month.
