In case you missed it, Blizzard has officially shared its plans of releasing a PS3-version of Diablo 3 last February. Following the announcement, the video game developer has provided a handful of sick game trailers to hype things up.
The announcement was made during Sony’s “See the Future” event where Blizzard also confirmed that the popular RPG title will also be available on Sony’s upcoming gaming console, the PS4. Non-Sony console users need not to fret, however, as the team stated that the game will not be exclusive to Sony gaming consoles.
The PS3 version of the game has a lot in common with its PC counterpart. However, Blizzard has made a few minor tweaks to the game to make it more console-friendly. One of the significant changes made on this release is the ability play the game offline. Offline game modes support screensharing for up to four users and give its players the ability to trade items even without internet connection.
Speaking of items, Blizzard has also decreased the number of item drops on the PS3 version. According to the team, they’re gunning for a more qualitative looting scheme rather than quantitative which lessens the time that a player spends on their inventory.
Blizzard has yet to reveal the release date of Diablo 3 for PlayStation 3, but we have a hunch that it’ll be in the second or third quarter of this year.
