Along with the Coolpix A, Nikon has announced two new, and more affordable point-and-shoots, the Coolpix P330 and Coolpix S3500.
The Coolpix P330 is the successor to last year’s Coolpix P310. To begin with, the P330 sports a fast maximum aperture of f/1.8, a camera resolution of 12.2 megapixel and a 1/1.7-inch backside illumination CMOS sensor. It also has 5x optical zoom, full HD video recording capabilities, lens-shift vibration reduction (VR) function, GPS, and a 3-inch 921k-dot TFT LCD monitor.
The Coolpix P330 is offered in black and white variants and will be available this month for $380 or Php15,500.
Next is the Coolpix S3500. It’s a 20.1 megapixel shooter with 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor. It has a 7x optical zoom covering the wide-angle 26mm to 182mm range of focal lengths. The S3500 also boasts a variety of image editing functions on board such as Glamour Retouch, including five new effects, and Quick Effects which enables application of one or more of 30 effects in 3 simple steps.
The Coolpix S3500 is offered in eight color options (black, red, purple, orange, silver, pink, and decorative blue and pink) and will also be available this month for $140 or Php5,700.
