An alleged screenshot of the Samsung Galaxy S4 reveals that the soon to arrive flagship will have Smart screen features that will allow a user to control the S4′s display just by looking at it.
The Smart screen feature provides four nifty functions:
Smart stay – it disables the screen timeout if the S4 detects that you’re looking at the screen.
Smart rotation – the S4 adjusts the screen’s rotation to your angle of sight. Really handy when you’re in bed reading eBooks.
Smart pause – the S4 pauses whatever video you’re playing when it detects your head moving away from the screen. Saves you the trouble of having to pause the video manually.
Smart scroll – The S4′s screen will start to scroll automatically if the device detects that you’re looking at the screen.
With the S4, Samsung is trying to usher in a new way of interacting with your device – using head gestures. If this is the case then we can expect a really good front-facing camera on the S4. Really smart if you ask me but we’ll have to see it first in action when the Samsung Galaxy S4 gets unpacked on March 14.
