OF all the new devices we spotted this evening at SM Cyberzone, one of the most tempting one would be this 7-inch Ainol Novo 7 Venus tablet that runs on Jellybean and a quad-core processor.
We’ve tried and review the previous Ainol Paladin and Aurora so we know the tablet line is pretty solid and really affordable.
Ainol Novo 7 Venus specs:
7-inch IPS LCD 720p HD display @ 1280×800 pixels
ATM7029 ARM Cortex A9 1.5GHz quad-core
1GB DDR3 RAM
16GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
2MP rear camera
0.3MP front-facing camera
Li-IOn 4,000mAh battery
Android 4.1 Jellybean
186.2mm x 126.9mm x 10.8mm (dimensions)
320 grams (weight)
Most of the core specs are at par with the Nexus 7 but the design is actually pretty close. The unit that we saw was the only one that’s being sold and we don’t think it’s an official local release.
Nevertheless, even at a jacked up price of Php10,000 for this device (regular price in the US is $159) the Novo 7 Venus seems pretty tempting.
