Retired police Director Eliseo dela Paz, former comptroller of the National Police, has confirmed his attendance for Thursday’s Senate hearing on the controversial Moscow incident involving him and his wife.
Earlier reports have it that the Philippine National Police refused to receive the subpoena issued to Dela Paz as the latter is no longer connected with the agency after his retirement.
The Senate on Tuesday issued subpoenas to personalities and government agencies to give light on the Moscow incident.
Administration Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, chairperson of the foreign relations committee, wanted all Interpol delegates, including former PNP comptroller Eliseo dela Paz, to personally appear in the hearing.
The hearing will be webcasted by Bitstop together with GMA Network.
