I’m not supposed to go to the Mall of Asia in Pasay City for the 2008 World Pyro Olympics. I swear. I got so fed up with all the postponement since the original schedule came out last New Year. Add to that the last minute postponement last week due to force majeure.
La Mancha should’ve learned its lessons now: Never to hold this event in the rainy month of May. darn.
But since I already have 2 tickets for the World Pyro Olympics, I gave it a second chance. I went there last Saturday with a friend from my previous company. There was a slight drizzle during the first show. But still bearable. Italy made a good job in presenting their fireworks. A brilliant interplay of shapes and colors and in all sizes. Ohhhs and Ahhhs can be heard all over the place. Young and old, obviously enjoyed the 15-minute show of Italy. While shooting the photos, I get so excited that I can’t even help myself but join the roaring crowd. I was so tempted to even scream “Viva Azzuri, Viva Forza Italia!” Hahaha The show of Italian colors red, white and green are pretty obvious in their fireworks display.
The second country, Venezuela also made a good show. Large formations of fire lit up the once gloomy skies of Manila. And the crowd enjoyed and cheered the show well. But in end my vote goes to the first performing country: Italy.
All in all, the week 3 of World Pyro Olympics went well. I personally enjoyed the the grand fireworks lighting up the sky. This coming Saturday is the final night. It’s time for the host country, the Philippines to showcase its might. It’s the run of La Mancha Productions to showcase its best fireworks creations ever! Be there as it happens on May 31st at the Mall of Asia, Pasay City Philippines.
