Migraine by Moonstar88
I arrived with Sha at SM Mall of Asia at around 7:30pm. The first thing that we looked for is a drink since we ate some chicken balls along Ayala Avenue before going there. Anyway, we were surprised when we got inside since we saw a set of drums. I really did not have any idea that a band that will be performing that night. In addition, I also don’t know who’s the band that will be performing.
Like the previous Bloggers’ parties held at Taste Asia, there was a buffet. We went only for one round since the appetizers served made me a bit full. After the dinner, there were beer drinking contests and were raffle draws being held. Marcelle co-hosted the event.
Then, the band performed and it was Moonstar88. It was the first time that I saw them with their new vocalist/guitarist live. I remember when I first saw the band at Fete de la Musique (when it was still being held at El Pueblo), Acel Bisa was their vocalist/guitarist back then.
They performed some old and new songs. In addition, they covered Sembreak (originally by Eraserheads) and Senti (by Yano). Amongst the original compositions they’ve played, I like Migraine the most.
Congratulations to Sha for winning a new MP3 player by Creative.
After drinking a couple of beers, we went to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Greenbelt for our African Sunrise Tea Latte fix.
Thanks again to Aileen Apolo for organizing this event.
