Pagudpud is a coastal town in Ilocos Norte. It is about 46 kilometers north of the province’s capital Laoag City. Pagudpud has always been known for its white sandy beaches. The town is blessed with a long stretch of fine white powdery sand, and crystal clear waters. There are a lot of barangays in Pagudpud that has nice sandy beaches, but probably, the best among them all is in Saud.
Saud is home to several topnotch resorts in Pagudpud. Its sand is perfectly fine, and its water is superbly clear.
When we were in Pagudpud recently, we stayed for 3D/2N in Villa del Mar. Lovely resort! After all it has been classified by the Department of Tourism as a Class A resort.
I love walking along the beach in Pagudpud. The doesn’t is so fine that it doesn’t hurt my foot.
The view of the mountainside near Saud is also lovely. While on the otherside, one can already see the gigantic Windmills standing in the town of Bagui.
When we were in Saud Beach recently, I really had so much fun except that… the waves are just so strong at that time. I don’t think kids would love this. Kahit ako nadadala ng tubig! So I just sat near the beach only to discover that the rear pocket of my board shorts is already full of sand. Gaaaah! I have to go back to the waters again to unload the sand.
But all in all, the Pagudpud beach experience is great! If I have time to go back to Ilocos Norte next year, I would still go back here and take a dip in its cold waters!
Disclosure: I was invited to go to Pagudpud Ilocos Norte recently to cover the final leg of the Friendship Kayak Expedition which started from Sarangani to Pagudpud Ilocos Norte.
