We’re 6 months in for 2016 and smartphone brands have taken this time to announce new devices especially those with large 6-inch screens. Some of these phones are yet to be available in the country so we’ve compiled them here as we await their arrival.
ASUS Zenfone 3 Ultra
The Zenfone 3 Ultra is one of the latest smartphones to be introduced that packed such display. At 6.8-inches, it’s basically a small tablet. Running under the hood is a Snapdragon 652 octa-core CPU, 4GB RAM, and a large 4,600mAh battery. The Zenfone 3 Ultra is expected to arrive in the country this August.

Xiaomi Mi Max
Xiaomi introduced the Mi Max in May and features a 6.44-inch display. It comes in multiple configurations with the top-of-the-line model sporting a Snapdragon 652 CPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB of storage. Xiaomi hasn’t been making noise in the local scene so PH availability is unsure, but you may expect some online sellers to offer the said phone.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro
Samsung has been offering their A-series smartphones in the country so we’re hoping that the 6-inch Galaxy A9 Pro, which was announced in China in April, makes it here as well. It sports a Snapdragon 652 CPU, 4GB RAM, Android Marshmallow, and a large 5,000mAh battery.

Sony Xperia XA Ultra
Sony is no stranger to large smartphones as they have introduced the 6.4-inch Xperia Z Ultra three years ago. Now it’s back with the monicker with the Xperia XA Ultra – the largest smartphone in Sony’s new Xperia X lineup. It has a 6-inch display, MediaTek Helio P10 CPU, 3GB RAM, Android Marshmallow, and a 16MP front camera with LED flash.
