Solar Power Farm in Valenzuela now operational

The first solar power farm in Metro Manila was inaugurated today. It is located at Brgy. Isla in Valenzuela City and will be fully operational by December 14.

The solar power farm is made up of 32,000 solar panels which can generate a total of 8.6 megawatts of electricity. The project was started by the city of Valenzuela some 7 months ago under the support of Mayor Rex Gatchalian.

Some of the generated power will be donated to Barangay Isla Elementary School while the rest will be sold to Meralco for distribution.
