Depending on your preference as a smartphone user, pre-installed Google apps on your device are either helpful (because you don’t have to download/install it yourself) or annoying (because you don’t use any of it). Nevertheless , Google has updated the list of apps that will come pre-installed on new Android devices which excludes Google+, Google Play Books, Google Newsstand, and Google Play Games.
In the past, Google has removed a number of apps that should be pre-installed on new devices which include Google Earth and the company’s own note-taking app.
This news should be heaven sent for Android users who never touch any of these apps and consider them as more of waste of storage space than anything.
It is, however, worth noting that although Google will no longer force manufacturers to have these apps pre-installed on their devices, it doesn’t mean that the search giant is putting the hammer down on these services. The aforementioned apps will still be available on Google Play Store and can still be manually installed by the user if they wish to do so.
