Along with OS X El Capitan, Apple also announced iOS 9.
Majority of Apple’s were focused on making the platform, and its personal Assistant, much smarter. With iOS 9, Siri is up to 40% faster and 40% more accurate. It’s hard to ignore that Siri is becoming more like Google Now.
iOS9 is also more interesting for the iPad. Split View allows two apps to be open and active at the same time on the same screen. Picture in Picture scales a video down in size so you can keep watching a TV show while you reply to an email.
Apple promises that iOS 9 will extend the battery life of the iPhone 6 by as much as one full hour.
Apple Pay will be launched in UK and Passbook will be renamed Wallet.
The iOS 9 developer beta is available today, and the public beta will be available in July. Public release is scheduled for September at the earliest.
