Hot off its official debut last week, the new ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Crossblade Ranger FM2+ motherboard has already reached our shore and is immediately looking to impress A88X/A-Series users with its signature ROG look and a few extra features geared to improve the overall performance of a gaming rig.
This full-sized ATX mobo is ROG’s first (and currently the only) FM2+ board that supports both A88X chipsets, as well as Kaveri APUs. It comes with all the niceties you’d expect from a mid-ranged mobo including two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, a quartet of DIMM slots that can support up to 64GB of DDR3 RAM, and eight SATA 6Gbps ports.
But what really sets the Crossblade Ranger apart from other FM2+ boards currently in the market is the additional features such as Intel® Gigabit Ethernet with GameFirst III and ASUS LANGuard which ensures lag-less gaming on LAN, SupremeFX 2014 audio technology which provides outstanding sound output and KeyBot which allows user to assign Macros and Shortcuts to their ordinary keyboard.
