Razer has officially launched their first console-style controller, the Razer Junglecat, made specifically to work with the Apple iPhone 5 and its successor, the iPhone 5S.
The Razer Junglecat has all the bells and whistles that one would typically look for in a controller. It has 4-way directional pad on the left, a pair of bumper buttons on each side, ABXY action buttons and a pair speakers for better sound quality.
However, unlike most controllers which have buttons on each end of the handset, Razer went for a slider design which, in combination with its 20mm-thin form factor, allows supported handsets to still be pocketable despite of being attached to the Junglecat.
Another thing that sets the Razer Junglecat apart from the pack is the free-to-download companion app that lets users customize the controller to their liking.
With the Razer Junglecat iOS companion app, users can adjust the sensitivity of the buttons, re-map all the buttons and store up to 20 profiles which can be automatically loaded once they launch one of the many supported iOS games.
The Razer Junglecat will be availalble starting this next month and will be retailed for USD99. It’ll be offered in Black, and White color variants.
