Just when we thought that the highly-addictive game has been finally laid to rest, Dong Nguyen (the creator of the game) said in an interview that he’s planning to resurrect Flappy Bird from the grave and will be available in three months’ time.
According to him, the new version of the game is going to be less addictive than its previous state which, if you guys can recall, was the main reason why he pulled the plug on the game in the first place. Moreover, he claims that the reincarnated game will have new features, as well as a new multiplayer mode.
There’s no telling whether the new Flappy Bird will have the same appeal as before, especially since there have been a lot of knock-offs of the game after Nguyen pulled the game from the App Store and Google Play Store. In any case, we don’t think that he’s going to lose sleep over it considering the success, not to mention the amount of money, he garnered at the peak of the first iteration of the game.
