DATA A DAY: Fruits of plunder

EVERYONE IT SEEMS has an opinion on corruption in the Philippines, and the talk invariably concludes with the need to file plunder charges against erring government officials.

However, plunder is a legal term, and not just a vague concept to describe corruption in a massive scale. What this means is that certain requirements must be met before a case of plunder may be filed against a government official.

For today’s Data A Day:

What is the minimum total value of acquired ill-gotten wealth that would qualify a public official for the charge of plunder?
