The ZTE booth at the CES showed several new Android smartphones but the only the ZTE Grand Memo II got our attention due to its unique design and form factor.
The Grand Memo 2 comes in a 6-inch HD TFT display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels.
It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 running at 1.2GHz quad-core, has 1 GB RAM and 8GB internal storage expandable via microSD card. It is LTE compatible which can go up to 100Mbps.
There’s an 8MP rear camera with 5MP in the front, with a 3200mAh Li-Ion battery and runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean.
The device looks pretty nice and very slim at just 0.29-inches thin (7.3mm). The carbon-fibre-esque back plate looks like Kevlar, similar to what we’ve seen with a number of Motorola Razr smartphones.
ZTE takes a while longer to bring their phones in the Philippines but once they do, they’re actually pretty affordable. The ZTE Grand X from last year arrived in the Philippines at under Php12k so we’re looking at the same price range for the Grand Memo 2 LTE.
