Nikon announced its latest entry-level dSLR camera, the D3300 which was launched alongside its new kit lens, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II.
The Japanese camera maker has made a few adjustments on the D3300 to make it 25% lighter and 30% smaller than its predecessor.
Apart from trimming down the camera, Nikon also gave their new entry-level dSLR camera an engine overhaul for improved imaging performance. It has the same 24MP DX-format sensor, but it doesn’t have an optical low-pass filter anymore.
Moreover, the D3300’s APS-C sensor is now paired to an EXPEED 4 image processor which brings a handful of improvements including faster frame rates in Burst Mode, 5fps to be exact.

The new Nikon D3300 is expected to go on sale next month and will cost USD649.95 for the body + kit lens package.
