Toshiba unveils KIRA Ultrabook with 221ppi display

Toshiba has recently unveiled its latest ultrabook called the KIRAbook, a Windows 8 machine that sports a 13.3-inch 2560×1440 high-resolution display.

The Toshiba KIRAbook aims to take on Apple’s current top of the line Macs with its 13.3-inch PixelPure touchscreen display that packs a native resolution of 2560×1440 which equates to 221ppi – just a few pixels less than the MacBook Pro Retina Display’s 227ppi. Mounted on top of the display is Corning’s Concore Glass for damage resistance.
