Alcatel has recently unveiled the two new additions to their One Touch product line. The tandem comprises of two very able 5-inchers – the One Touch Scribe X and the One Touch Scribe HD-LTE.
Of the two, the Scribe X has the better internals sporting a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and Full HD 5-inch display. This handset is also equipped with a pair of decent snappers, 12MP on the back and 720p one on the other side. This handset, as well as the Scribe HD-LTE will come with Jelly Bean preinstalled.
The Scribe HD-LTE, as its name implies, is the company’s LTE entry. In essence, this is an LTE-enabled and slightly toned down version of the Scribe X. It has the same screen size as its FHD counterpart, but will have a more practical HD resolution. The handset also has a quad-core engine, but has a slightly less speed which clocks at 1.2GHz.
Availability in the US is slated in the third quarter of this year. There’s no news about their plans of non-US release yet, but we have a feeling that Alcatel will release this handset earlier than Q3 in other countries. Pricing, as of now, also remains to be told, but we’re expecting the Scribe X to be within the USD500 – 550 range and the Scribe HD at USD400 – 450.
